Testimonials
This is my grandson, Frankie. He's amazing. Frankie is autistic and has major issues with taking off on his own. However, from the time he enters the stable and mounts his horse, he is a different boy. Frankie is the one singing, following direction and staying connected to his horse and instructor. Every staff member works above and beyond to make all the children feel safe, free of fears and that they are connected to another family. We are all blessed that this program exists for our special children.
I came across this story which states that a father took his autistic child to Mongolia in order to have him benefit from horsebackriding. While the story is extraordinary, I felt that it was only proper that people in the New York area know about Nassau County PAL (SHINE program). The staff and volunteers are exceptional and each of the children riding there are learning confidence while having some exercise and alot of fun. I hope that my comment to the article gets included on their website and that it may encourage other parents to have their kids participate in the PAL programs.
Please share this article with the staff. Thank you for all that you do.
